The Pony Club's October sports update, published on 14 October 2026, confirms that applications to join a Sports Committee close on Friday 16 October 2026. That date was already pushed back once, from 9 October. If you have been meaning to put your name forward for a sport you care about, today is the day it either happens or it does not. The current vacancies and the application route are listed on the Pony Club website. Separately, there are Sports Coordinator vacancies open; the route there is to contact the relevant Sports Officer or look at the individual sport pages.
The polocrosse annual Open Meeting has been dated: Thursday 29 October 2026 at 1pm, held online via Teams. The committee will cover how 2026 went and what is planned for 2027 and beyond. Joining details had not been published when the update went out, and the source points people to the Pony Club Polocrosse Facebook page for them.
On the dressage side, judging is in progress for round two of the Pony Club International Alliance Training Challenge and Virtual Dressage Competition, and tests from members worldwide can be viewed on the competition website. For anyone weighing up next year, the class structure is set out. Classes 1 and 2 form the Training Challenge, which runs over two rounds with the aim of improving on your round one score. Class 1 is Training Level, for members aged 14 and under on 1 January. Class 2 is Prix Caprilli, open to all members, and combines dressage and jumping in one routine. Class 6, Freestyle to Music, is also open to all members.
The higher classes carry test requirements, which is the bit to check early. Class 3, First Level, is for members 18 and under on 1 January who hold their C Test. Class 4, Second Level, is for members 25 and under on 1 January with their B Care Test. Class 5, Third Level, is for members 25 and under on 1 January. If a test is the gate, that is a training plan, not a box to tick in the week entries open.
